Roof Profiles for your home

26/3/2013

Reroofing your home is an easy way to bring an existing home
up-to-date with quality roofing, whether your home is modern or traditional
there is a roof sheeting profile to compliment your theme and budget.

Choose from a full spectrum of roofing colours and profiles
to match any mood or environment, from heritage to modern.

Roof sheets are available in zinc or with a colour finish and
will resist chipping and corrosion for years to come. When installed correctly
with suitable insulation, steel cladding is thermal efficient; cooling down
quickly in summer and keeping warm in winter, therefore saving on energy
costs.

There are many roofing profile options available to
you:

Corrugated
Made from high tensile steel for strength and impact resistance
and is available in un-painted zinc/aluminium or in an attractive range of
factory pre-painted colours. Corrugated Iron provides you with the style and
strength that have been popular in Australia and New Zealand for well over one
hundred years. Corrugated has the advantage of high strength, adaptability and
easy handling and installation. It is a practical and versatile solution for
roofing and its profile enables it to blend in with contemporary homes, older
styled homes, industrial buildings or sheds.

Prodek
Stratco Prodek is a versatile roofing material, designed to suit
a wide range of applications, from verandah and carport installations to long
length industrial roofing projects. The unique Prodek profile offers superior
spanning ability, excellent water carrying capacity and impressive rigidity.
Available in un-painted zinc/aluminium or in an attractive range of factory
pre-painted colours.

Smartspan
The contemporary form of Smartspan features a square corrugated
profile. Its nine-rib design provides maximum strength, making it ideal where a
very strong but simple appearance is required. Smartspan is a remarkably
versatile product with both domestic and industrial applications. Available in
un-painted zinc/aluminium and in an attractive range of factory pre-painted
colours

Superdek
Endowed with strength Superdek is a high tensile roof sheeting
which has a 28mm rib height which allows for long spans and delivers
outstanding water carrying ability. Superdek is available in un-painted
zinc/aluminium and in an attractive range of factory pre-painted
colours.

Topdek
Utilising an ingenious concealed clip, Topdek 700 benefits from a
strong, clean finish without any visible fixings. It allows for thermal
expansion and contraction, making it ideal for long length roofing in both
domestic and commercial uses. The profile of Topdek 700 consists of strong,
42mm high, trapezoidal shaped ribs that provide strength and rigidity.
Wide deep pans channel water efficiently from the roof making Topdek 700
excellent for areas of high rainfall. Topdek 700 can be installed on roofs with
pitches as low as one degree. Topdek 700 is available in un-painted zinc/aluminium and
in an attractive range of factory pre-painted
colours.

Ensure your home complies with Insurance Company Policies

3/3/2013

Insurance companies are now less likely to accept claims for storm damage where roofs have not been regularly maintained. Insurance companies see this as wear and tear and damage caused by the failure to
maintain the home if your house is of a certain age. Working for Insurance companies, we are regularly called on to conduct a roof report to determine the storm damage and the result of it. Often, water has leaked into the roof cavity and damaged ceilings, insulation and walls. For the majority of the time, this is a direct result of not maintaining the roof and water accessing the roof cavity through broken tiles, rusted roof sheets, poorly installed skylights or cracks in pointing.

As a result, the storm damage is not an insurance claim and leaves the Insured with a costly outcome – having to call on roofers, plasterers and electricians etc to fix the damage.

To ensure your roof and home is safely protected from the wild weather we have been experiencing and to extend the life of your existing roof keep up the regular maintenance. It does pay off in the long term and saves you money.
